Attraverso l’uso di filmati di backstage rimasti inediti per quasi vent’anni per volere della Universal e interviste contemporanee a Carrey, l’opera documenta il totale e disturbante annullamento dell’attore nel suo personaggio. Il set si trasforma in un teatro di guerriglia psicologica e performance estrema, mettendo a dura prova la pazienza del regista Milos Forman, della troupe e del cast.
